Day 4 | January 9, 2025 | The Invitation to Rest

Scripture: Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Reflection: The invitation to come to Jesus is a call to find rest in Him. It is a gift of rest in the midst of a chaotic world when we are burdened down by the circumstances and trials of life. As we invite others, we share the peace and rest that only He can offer. It’s an invitation to learn from Him and be under His guidance and for all to find rest for their souls.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for the invitation to find rest in You for my soul, as I take your yoke upon me. Help me to invite others to come and experience the peace and rest that only You can give. Amen.
