Pastor Aaron is a longtime friend of our church family and has been connected to Refuge for many years. Many of you may remember when he served as our youth pastor for a season. Today, he serves as the Lead Pastor at Faith Christian Church in Mauston, Wisconsin.
Aaron and his wife, Katie, are raising four children together, and we’re looking forward to hearing the message God has placed on his heart. His father, Pastor Paul Shirek, recently ministered with us, and we’re grateful for the longstanding friendship between our churches.

Our Couples Community Group is getting together for a fun night of Pickleball & PJ’s! We’ll kick things off with pickleball, then wrap up the evening with dinner together at PJ’s.
The cost to play pickleball is $10 per couple, and paddles will be provided if you don’t have your own. This is a great opportunity for beginners, no experience needed! If you’ve never played before, this is the perfect night to jump in and have some fun.

Students in grades 6–12 are invited to join us for the Winter Retreat on February 20–21 at Spencer Lake in Waupaca! It’s an amazing opportunity for students to have fun, build friendships, grow in their faith, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Your giving makes a real difference. Tithing makes it possible to do things like serve meals to the homeless and families in our community, sponsor missionaries, update our facility, and ultimately change lives.
Starting November 30, our Giving Tree will be displayed in the Refuge foyer! Each ornament represents a child from Refuge, SPCA, or Canaland Early Learning whose family could use a little extra help this Christmas.
If you’d like to bless a child, simply stop by and pick an ornament off the tree. Purchase gifts totaling at least $50 and return them to Refuge by December 14.
On this trip, we have the opportunity to partner with Good News Africa, a ministry founded by Pastor Matt in 2000. As an extension of Refuge, Good News Africa is devoted to empowering believers across the continent through biblical training and discipleship. Together, we’ll serve alongside local churches and Bible colleges, spreading the love of Christ through impactful teaching, encouragement, and hands-on service. This is an incredible opportunity to make an impact, deepen your faith, and create lasting connections with the people of Ghana!
