Funerals & Celebration of Life Services

The pastors and staff at Refuge offer their caring support and expertise to individuals and families through these difficult days. Our love and care begins with helping to plan the service to celebrate your loved one’s life and continues afterward to help support you through the grieving process.

Once your loved one has passed it takes time to process the loss. We are here to help walk you through the process. We will meet with you to discuss details and make plans for your loved one’s Celebration of Life service.

Below is an outline of what Refuge provides to our church family during this time. 

• Meeting with the Pastors

• Assistance at the funeral home

• Assistance writing the obituary

• Prayer & counseling

• Sharing memories - meeting with the family that can be in attendance to share memories and review the order of the service. 

Planning the Service

Songs: Please choose three songs to be played during the service. We can provide you with a list of songs to choose from if you need some ideas.

Photos: If you would like a spot to display photos throughout the foyer and auditorium, we will have a time for you to set everything up the night prior to the service. We have tables and easels available for displaying photos. 

Please select one or two photos to be displayed on the main screen during the service.

 After the funeral service: 

• The Refuge staff and volunteers serving at the service will gather all items/flowers, etc. and put them in the foyer. We will arrange for you to pick them up immediately after the luncheon.
