On this trip, we have the opportunity to partner with Good News Africa, a ministry founded by Pastor Matt in 2000. As an extension of Refuge, Good News Africa is devoted to empowering believers across the continent through biblical training and discipleship. Together, we’ll be hosting Pastors and Leaders Conferences, conducting an Ordination Service, ministering in local churches, and distributing life-saving water filters that will provide clean drinking water to families in need. This is an incredible opportunity to make an impact, deepen your faith, and create lasting connections with the people of Ghana!

In the beautiful mountains and vibrant city of San Jose, we have the privilege of meeting people where they are and bringing hope, purpose, and love to the children, youth, single mothers, elderly, churches, leaders, and communities of Costa Rica. This trip offers a variety of ministry opportunities—from engaging with children and youth to participating in hands-on work projects and distributing water filters. Whatever your gifts or interests, there is a place for you to serve and make an impact!

Refuge partners with Samaritan’s Purse to respond to disaster relief and rebuilding projects when emergencies arise, such as Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. While we can't predict the timing of these trips, we are dedicated to being ready to serve as soon as we are needed. Typically, we receive at least three weeks to a month’s notice before a relief trip, allowing us time to prepare and mobilize.
