Day 14 | January 14

DAY 14 | January 14, 2024 | MORE INVOLVEMENT

VERSE: Titus 3:14 “Our people must learn to get involved when a need arises, particularly when the need is urgent. Teach them to do what is good so they won’t become unproductive members of the community.” The Voice (VOICE)

Involve means to engage as a participant, to volunteer, to take part of, to envelop, to cover, to join, or to connect. Jesus longs to be involved in our life to reveal Himself to us. As a direct result, we should be willing to volunteer and involve ourselves in His service. When one realizes all that Jesus has done for us, it is only fitting for us to want to serve Him.

Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power; In holy array, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew. Psalm 110:3 NASB.” A volunteer is a person that actively takes on a task, responsibility, or project on his or her own accord without needing to be told, assigned or ordered.

In our society, there are many able-bodied people that have incredible talent and potential to be a blessing in uplifting and serving others, yet there is an attitude that has repressed people from being involved. What is the root of the problem? Selfishness. It has been reported that people have been murdered in broad daylight with witnesses and bystanders who could have intervened to stop the tragedy and yet refused because they didn’t want to get involved. I realize we must guard our time and exercise wisdom but we can’t stay back and wait for others to respond it we are able. What we need is a divine willingness to say, “Lord, use me.” “Lord I want to be used by you.” “I want to volunteer and be involved.” Be part of God’s response team.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunities to be involved in the work of your Kingdom through serving, and giving of our time, talent and resources. It’s our desire to be part of your voluntary army that is committed to be involved in serving your purpose for this generation.

When one realizes all that Jesus has done for us, it is only fitting for us to want to serve Him.
