Make This Day Count

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 ESV

How can we make this day count? First of all we should recognize and acknowledge that each day is a gift from God and an opportunity to live for Him and serve His purpose for our lives. We are exhorted by the psalmist to rejoice in the day the Lord has made; which is a reference to the time period that redemption and salvation has come. We are living in that day. As believers we are to rejoice and be glad for salvation and the gift of eternal life we have received.

Let’s begin our day with a fresh surrender of our heart to the Lord and present ourselves to do His will. Let us acknowledge Him as the Lord of our life who empowers us by His grace. “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age.” Titus 2:11-12 ESV

TODAY’S PRAYER

Lord Jesus, we rejoice in this day that you have made and are glad that you brought us salvation. Thank you for your grace that enables us to live godly lives in this present age. Help us to reach those who have not yet received you as their Lord and Savior so they too can rejoice and be glad.

God bless,

Pastor Matt
