Believe & Receive

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 ESV

It’s imperative that whatever we ask in prayer according to Jesus’ statement we are to believe we have already received the answer by faith. We are to believe we have received the moment we ask. Believing we have received the answer before we have physical evidence or proof is the essence of faith. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 NKJV. We are to believe that our prayers are answered before we see them manifest or answered in the physical natural realm.

Believing precedes receiving as we see clearly in this passage. However, there are those who are waiting to receive before they believe; they won’t believe until they have tangible proof of the answer. This viewpoint is contrary thinking from the perspective Jesus is giving His disciples on the subject of faith. We can receive by faith whatever is promised in His Word. We must believe the answer is already ours before it becomes reality in the physical world.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Lord Jesus, thank you we can have confidence knowing whatever we ask in prayer, it will be ours when we believe we have already received it.

God bless,
