The End of All War

“He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore;” Micah 4:3 ESV

There is coming a time when there will be no more war and the implements of war will be re-manufactured to serve another purpose. The plowshare is often used to symbolize resourceful implements that benefit mankind, as opposed to destructive tools or weapons of war, symbolized by the sword.

When Jesus Christ returns to earth for His second coming He will establish world peace and put an end to all war. The final conflict however will occur at the end of a thousand year reign of Christ after Satan is released for a brief time. He will make one last futile attempt to deceive the nations but will meet his final defeat (Revelation 20:7-10).

Conflict is common to life experience in personal and corporate levels. There is a cry in the heart of mankind for peace, yet it is only Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace that brings us true and lasting peace. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27 ESV. Peace is available to us now and begins internally when we open our heart to Him.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Jesus our prince of peace who brings us lasting peace. “Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 ESV.

God Bless,
