Look To Your Maker

“In that day man will look to his Maker, and his eyes will look on the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 17:7 ESV

You may have heard the expression, ‘look to God.’ God desires you to behold Him in His beauty and holiness. He desires for you to have a revelation of who He is and relate to Him as your Maker. ‘In that day’ is in reference to a time of distress that you look to God. It’s looking to God and what He has done and can do regarding salvation, not the effort of your own hands. Look to Him in your time of need, look to Him for wisdom and insight. Look to Him for healing and deliverance, look to Him in your time of distress, look to Him today.

Hebrews instructs the believer to look to Jesus which we are exhorted to do when considering the weights and sins that so easily hold us back and limit our progress. “…let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV. Looking to Jesus is a focal point of our faith that strengthens us in our weakness.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Thank you Jesus that we can look to you our Maker when facing difficulty. We pray for a Spirit of wisdom and greater revelation of who you are that we may know you. “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.” Ephesians 1:17 ESV

God Bless,
