Steadfast Love

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV

The meaning of the word steadfast is strong devotion or loyalty to a person, belief, or cause. Steadfast is defined as unchanging, firmly fixed in place, immovable, and not subject to change. This word is used to describe God’s love for us; an unchanging love that reveals His character. It is essential and necessary that we have of a revelation of the love of God if we are to understand His character.

Knowing we are loved by God helps us to find our worth and value and our place in His Kingdom. Do you know your life is important to God, and that your life matters to Him? He is committed to you more than you will ever be committed to Him. “We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 ESV

His steadfast love never ceases and His mercies never come to an end; in Him we find our place and in Him we place our hope. “"The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him." Lamentations 3:24 ESV. He desires to express His goodness to those who wait for Him and seek Him. Spending time seeking the Lord is time never wasted and time to experience more of His goodness. Making seeking God a priority will impact our life and others, our challenge is that we seek Him today to encounter His presence. “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” Lamentations 3:25 ESV.
