Am I Doing God's Will?

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21 ESV

Doing the will of the Father is a matter of choice and a determination of the heart. Although it may seem like a broad subject it should be the believer’s passion to seek, to know and to carry out His will. His will is revealed to us in the scriptures and as we seek His guidance He will make it known to us. “…The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Righteous One and to hear a voice from his mouth. “Acts 22:14 ESV.

It is doing the Father’s will that sets us apart and establishes the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our life. If we call Him Lord then we better make sure we are doing the will of the Father and not our own will. The greatest struggle of Christianity is the yielding of our will to the will of God, it’s a matter of submission and obedience to Him in every area of our life.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we ask that you reveal your will to us. Help us to do your will without compromise. Forgive us for not regarding your will as important in order to enter the Kingdom of God. “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22 ESV.

God bless,

Pastor Matt
