He Rejoices Over Us

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17 NLT

What an incredible promise declaring not only that the Lord our God is living among us but is our mighty savior who delights in us with gladness. With His love He calms every fear and rejoices over us with singing. God actually rejoices over us with joyful songs. Many have never considered that God sings over us and may find it difficult to grasp. It may be difficult to comprehend yet it is absolutely true so just accept it.

As a parent there were times I sang over my children when they were small. I don’t attempt that anymore because they most likely would not appreciate it. How wonderful to think that our mighty God who created the universe sings over us. Let us declare Zephaniah 3:17 over our life to acknowledge this promise.

TODAY’S PRAYER 

Heavenly Father, help us to better understand your incredible love for us and your promise for our lives. Help us to know that you are with us, powerful and mighty to save, the one who calms our fear and wins the battle.
