No Vision, No Future

“Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.” Proverbs 29:18 NASB

Vision is the ability to see or perceive God’s plan concerning the future. Vision is revelation that gives life meaning, value, direction, significance and purpose. Vision holds endless possibilities of what could be and what should be. Without vision there is nothing that keeps our life on track and we end up wondering aimlessly living life without purpose. Helen Keller once said, “The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight but no vision.” If our vision is impaired we may wonder aimlessly because it is difficult to navigate through the obstacles of life.

Vision is the act or power of seeing; it is also an idea, an image, a dream or possibility for the future. Vision is the ability to imagine and use our imagination to dream. Vision also makes suffering and disappointment bearable because it gives us hope. Vision inspires the depressed and motivates the discouraged. We exist for a reason; an important step to fulfilling our reason for existence is understanding we’ve been given a vision. Purpose is knowing and understand what we were born to accomplish, and vision is when we conceive it in our mind by faith and begin to live it out. Vision is a glimpse of our future that God has purposed for us.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of vision. We pray for a greater revelation and understanding of your vision for our lives and its fulfillment.

God Bless,

Pastor Matt
