Make It Plain

"Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.” Habakkuk 2:2 ESV

We were created on purpose for a purpose. God gives vision which serves the purpose He has ordained for our life. He gives a general vision as well as specific vision we must embrace to see His purpose fulfilled. Because vision is not just for us but includes others we are instructed to write it down and make it plain so others can run with it. To make it plain means to show clearly, and to give a simple explanation. Without making it plain there may be confusion. When vision is clear we can run with it when we see it. We need this for our own benefit as well as for others that would run with us. Where there is lack of vision people stumble with no real sense of direction as they go through life. “Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained…” Proverbs 29:18 NASB.

God’s vision is what He sees for our life, not based on our past or even our present condition but in light of His plan and purpose for our future. The Hebrew word for vision is ‘chazone,’ meaning a dream, revelation, or vison. God has a vision, plan and purpose for every person that He longs to reveal and make known. “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 ESV

TODAY’S PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us clear vision of your purpose and plan for our life. Help us to document it in such a way that it’s made plain for us and others who would run with us to see it fulfilled.

God Bless,

Pastor Matt
