Who Is A God Like You?

“Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. 19 He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:18-19 ESV

God’s character is unparalleled to any being in all the universe. No one compares with the God we serve who delights in steadfast love and compassion for us. Micah emphasizes God’s loving compassion that brings forgiveness and buries our sins in the depths of the sea. What a graphic illustration when we consider our sins are at the bottom of the ocean, never to rise to the surface again. Not only did He put them out of sight, He put them out of mind.“For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 8:12 ESV.

TODAY’S PRAYER 

Heavenly Father, how thankful we are for your steadfast love, we pray for a greater revelation and encounter with your love. Help us to not only experience the transforming impact of your love in our own life but better express your love towards others. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV
