Look Up

“But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7 ESV

To look to the Lord signifies an earnest expectation that He will show up in our life when we pray. It is making Him our focus as we anticipate His response to meet us at our point of need. To look to the Lord is faiths confident expectation and assurance that He will answer us.

‘The wait’ is our time to anticipate His arrival on the scene of our crisis. We wait for Him to reveal Himself in our time of need. It’s always worth the wait even when there may be a delay, because with God delay is not denial. Our confidence is in knowing that He actually hears us when we pray and His answer is on the way. “And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:15 ESV.

TODAY’S PRAYER

 Lord God, we choose to look to you as Micah did and are determined to wait upon you. We are confident that you hear us when we pray. We look to you Jesus, knowing that you have begun a good work in us, and are faithful to complete it. (“Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith…” Hebrews 12:2 ESV.)
