What's In Your Heart?

“For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Matthew 12:34 ESV

We need to consider truth principles that govern the words of our mouth. Whatever we put in our heart will eventually come out of our mouth. The driving force of what's in our heart determines what our mouth will speak. Whatever we are feeding on will affect the condition of our heart. If we are listening to words that inspire fear, doubt and unbelief, worldly philosophies and not the Word of God, our mouth will tell on us. Spiritual growth becomes evident in our life when what we say does not conflict with the Word of God. “For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well.” James 3:2 NAS.

There is a distinct contrast between words that are full of faith and words that are filled with doubt and unbelief. We are to speak words that affirm Bible truth, yet often the believer will speak words of doubt and unbelief. The fact is that what we believe affects what we speak, and what we speak affects our life, for good or for evil. “A man’s stomach will be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; He will be satisfied with the consequence of his words.” Proverbs 18:20 AMP.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Thank you Heavenly Father for helping us to discern what is acceptable and what is unacceptable in what we hear. Help us to be diligent to fill our heart with your Word in Jesus Name. “Above all else, watch over your heart; diligently guard it because from a sincere and pure heart come the good and noble things of life.” Proverbs 4:23 VOICE.

God bless,
