Trust In The Lord

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

We are to trust, lean on, and acknowledge the Lord in all our ways. To trust is to rely upon, depend on, place your confidence in, and believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. We are instructed not to lean or depend on our own limited understanding of whatever situation we are facing. We should not depend on our own natural predispositions or inclinations.

We are to trust in the Lord with all our heart and acknowledge Him in all of our ways. To acknowledge someone is to recognize them for who they are and not exclude them. So often believers exclude the Lord in their present circumstance or situation. To acknowledge is to give recognition to and welcome their input and involvement. Failure to acknowledge the Lord in your situation will leave you to figure things out on your own. He will make your path straight so there will be no question concerning the direction He has for your life.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Lord, thank you for the invitation to trust in you. I will trust you with all of my heart, I refuse to lean on my own understanding and I choose to acknowledge you in my life in every area. Thank you for direction and for making my path straight. I am confident that you will guide me in my walk today.

God bless,

Pastor Matt
