When Trouble Comes

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. 8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” Psalms 138:7-8 ESV 

Have you ever been in trouble, most likely you have lost count of how many times? Whether it is your fault or due to circumstances beyond your control, we all face trouble in this life. We have all walked in the midst of trouble; yet when we understand that the Lord will fulfill His purpose regardless of the trouble we face we can be assured that trouble will not defeat us. His steadfast love is at work to preserve and deliver us in the midst of trouble.

My challenge for you today is to see trouble as opportunity. See it as an opportunity for God to move on your behalf. God’s purpose will prevail as He works all things together for our good. “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (ESV) 

TODAY’S PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we know you are with us in the midst of every trouble. No matter what we face your steadfast love will prevail in our lives and your purpose will stand. Fulfil your purpose in us.
